Marketing Strategy and Reflection

Before I make a marketing strategy, I will have to know my target audience for this website. To me, this website’s goal is to be able to show target audiences my work, resume, to discover my website and possibly hire me for freelance work. In order to do this, the marketing strategy should be interdisciplinary.

1. Showcase works in Homepage

First, my website has to first showcase my best works, so that when it comes up visitors can see my work directly. To make sure this is effective, I am going to set up a visual gallery right on the homepage of my best works. Each picture in the gallery will link the visitor to the page of that specific work, mentioning its workflow and designs. Having a blog can also help to intrigue the visitors of my site, showing the processes of some of my good works.

2. Social Media Links & E-mail

The website will then have to link with my Facebook and Instagram, where I will make a page for myself as an artist and share it to friends. The pages and the profile will also show my latest updated works. My website will also have links to LinkedIn and other portfolio sites like Dribbble and Artstation to further showcase my portfolio and work. My website will also have E-mail newsletter where people can sign up for news about my works and get updated on information.

3. SEO

Using SEO will also be key in the marketing strategy. Using keywords that are effective in each page will be useful. Words that will be added include artists, sydney, freelancing, freelance UX designer, etc. that will help lead clients to my website. Adding proper meta descriptions will also help more visitors to find me.

4. Outside of the Website

Outside of the website, commenting and participating in the art community, leading them to my works and website will also help market myself as an artist even further.
