I have installed some plugins in my website that I think will be helpful other than Yoast SEO. These plugins will help me with the front-end and back-end of my website for my portfolio. So far, I have not gotten any premium version of them, just the free ones.
1. Elementor
Elementor makes it so much easier to see how the content will look like on my website’s pages. Choosing the animation style of how each block comes in is helpful as well as the style changes of each widget.

2. FooGallery
I have installed FooGallery plugin to showcase my works in a masonry gallery look. Previously, I thought that I can use Elementor/OceanWp’s (the theme I’m using) galleries for portfolio but they need to be purchased. This plugin is really useful as it has all the necessary feature I want for a gallery which includes:
- Setting up how many columns and how far the pictures are from each other
- Able to show lightbox, or link to another page when clicked
- On hover shows caption of each picture

3. MC4WP : Mailchimp for WordPress
I have linked my website with my Mailchimp account so people can sign up for newsletter. This will be effective to further promote my website to others. The sign up for newsletter widget is located in my footer, as well as my Contact page. When people sign up, I can send them e-mail newsletter easily through my Mailchimp account.

4. WPForms Lite
This plugin is installed so that the form for contacting me through my website e-mail will be easily installed and connected. The form I made includes names, reason for enquiry and their e-mail address. This will help me contact them easily through my website e-mail for any enquiries.

5. Social Media and Share Icons (Ultimate Social Media)
This plugin is used so that the footer can show social media buttons and on click it can easily take people to my social media pages. It is also customisable to fit my website’s style.

6. Akismet Anti-Spam
Akismet helps protect my blog from spam in comments as well as contact forms and malicious content. The filter works by combining information about spam captured on all participating sites, and then using those spam rules to block future spam.
7. Analytify – Google Analytics Dashboard
Analytify helps to see Google Analytics information of my website to be easily seen on WordPress’s dashboard. This helps me to see easily how many visitors go to my website and other information.
8. Head, Footer and Post Injections
This plugin helps insert Google Analytics and Tag manager codes to the html of the whole website’s pages. This is necessary to link the website to the Google features.
9. Smush
Smush plug-in helps to reduce image file sizes since my website will have a lot of images. This helps to improve performance and boost my SEO.
